Wakakirri Update

On Friday the 25th of August, our Wakakirri students participated in their filming day. This was a full day of rehearsing, refining and filming. The students did an absolutely amazing job and we’re so excited to show the video to the school community in the coming weeks. 

Our piece we developed was based around the outcomes of bullying and what being a positive bystander could do to help someone. It was wonderful to see all students develop their characters and take real ownership of what they have created. It has also been lovely to have our four Wakakirri team leaders (Lana Gage, Harrison Coppock, Hamish Muller and Aurora Mortimer). These four students have helped lead and support all students in the team. 

So thank you leaders for all your hard work this year. Also, a massive shoutout to the staff members involved with this year's team. Thank you Bec W, Bec DB, Kiam L and Janelle L. These staff members have put in so many hours to help create, develop and support our team this year. You should all be so proud of what you have achieved with our students this year. 

A massive thank you and congratulations to all involved. We now wait until later this month to see if the ACS team has been nominated for any awards. Fingers crossed and we look forward to hearing the results. Goodluck!!
