Small Schools Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to all of the 130 plus students who participated in the Small Schools Public Speaking Competition last Wednesday. Even though many of you were out of your comfort zone it was great to see you stand up and give it a go. The adjudicators were amazed at how the children's speaking skills continue to develop year after year. They were confident that this generation of youth will have no problems becoming the next voices of the future.

To those who were awarded a place in their section, congratulations!  The adjudicators had the unenviable task as there were so many incredible speeches.

Life Education Van

Our mission:To empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education.

Last Thursday students visited the Life Education Van where they got to meet Kristy who is part of the Life Ed team. The topic for K-2 was 'My Body Matters' and Yr 3-6 learnt all about 'Friends and Feelings'. All students engaged in group discussions and enjoyed the opportunity to participate in interactive activities. Healthy Harold was the highlight of the visit.
