GLS 2023 - Your invitation to join

We are nearly at capacity at our DCS venue and have made the exciting move to hold our GLS at the paranaple convention centre! We are close to being one of the biggest gatherings in Australia, and we would love for you to join us and make this happen!  Devonport is ready to grow and our wider community be encouraged.

Aladdin Jr. Merchandise

We are excited to be able to offer all cast members an opportunity to purchase an Aladdin Jr. t-shirt. 

Cost for the t-shirt is $33 each and students will have the opportunity to wear the t-shirt at different times leading up to the production, including during rehearsals, backstage and ushering.

To simplify the ordering process, orders and payment can be made through an online store that has been set up specifically for our school. 

Orders will close this Friday 15th September.

Updating Personal Details

Keeping our DCS Community in the loop about upcoming events, important news and generally keeping you informed is extremely important to us.  To help us keep everyone 'in the know', it is greatly appreciated if you can let us know of any changes of details, such as moving house; new contact numbers; emergency contact details or updated email addresses.

School Uniform Changeover

It is getting closer to the end of term, and the change-over to summer uniform in Term 4 for our primary students. 

This also includes our ‘Yes Hat, Yes Play’ policy requiring all primary students to wear either our school legionnaire or wide-brimmed hat whilst outside.

Due to the nature of our weather, there is a 2 week changeover period where primary students can still wear the winter uniform for extra warmth if you prefer, with all students to be in the correct uniform by Monday 30th October.  

Uniform items are available for purchase from the School Office and we encourage families who need any new items to come in before the end of term to make their purchases.

Soccer Tops

Withthe conclusion of the 2023 winter soccer season we are asking if all DCS soccer tops can please be returned to the school office by the end of today (Wednesday 6th September).  Any tops not returned after this time will be invoiced at their full replacement cost.

Honour Roll Nominations

The Honour Roll is a record kept by the Board, of individuals who have made a significant contribution to Devonport Christian School or are deserving of recognition by the school community.  In addition, members of the Honour Roll, who have the Pastoral Reference section of this form signed by a current pastor, will be afforded lifetime membership of the Devonport Christian School Inc.

Nominations for the Honour Roll can be made to the Board Secretary by any member of the school community, including Board and committee members, management and general staff, parents and friends, past and present students, and, members of the Devonport Christian School Inc.

Honour Roll nominees must have made a significant contribution to Devonport Christian School or are deserving of recognition by the school community and meet one or more of the criteria as described on the Honour Roll nomination form.

Nomination forms are available from the school office and must be submitted in writing to the Board Secretary by Thursday 28th September. Completed Nomination forms can be left at the school office.

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play. Call the school office on 6423 1373 if you require further information.

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am.

This Thursday 14th September will be the final session for Term 3 for Little Sprouts.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers.

This Friday 15th September will be the final session for Term 3 for Jiloa Juniors.
