Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
As we bid farewell to another incredible term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and highlights of Term 3, and also share some exciting news about what lies ahead in Term 4.
Term 3 has been a journey of growth, learning, and community. Our students have consistently demonstrated their dedication to their learning and their kindness towards one another. Teachers, support staff, and parents have all played pivotal roles in fostering a nurturing and enriching environment for our young learners.
We've witnessed numerous achievements, both big and small, from academic accomplishments to creative endeavours, and I couldn't be prouder of our students' efforts. Your unwavering support, commitment, and enthusiasm continue to make our school an extraordinary place of learning.
Some of the many highlights included:
Teacher Professional Learning
With the start of Term 4 just around the corner, I am delighted to share some exciting developments that will make Carnegie PS an even more inclusive place for all. We will be installing ramps around the school premises to ensure that all our students, regardless of physical abilities, can move freely and comfortably throughout the school.
Additionally, you can expect to see various maintenance activities. We will be focusing on drywall plastering, painting, and general maintenance to enhance the overall appearance and functionality of our school facilities. These efforts are a testament to our dedication to providing a safe and aesthetically pleasing learning environment for our students.
Congratulations to Cheryl Laing, who will be taking up an ongoing position at Virtual School Victoria from the beginning of 2024. Cheryl has been in an acting position at VSV since term 2. We wish Cheryl all the best working in the virtual world.
We also congratulate Penny Bradley who has been an Education Support Officer at Carnegie PS for many years, who has now qualified as a primary school teacher. We wish Penny all the best in her career as a teacher and hope she finds it fulfilling and rewarding.
I want to express my gratitude to all of you for your continued support and trust in our educational mission. With your collaboration, we will continue to provide a wonderful educational experience for our students.
Let's approach Term 4 with enthusiasm, optimism, and a sense of unity.
Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating break, and I eagerly anticipate our continued journey of growth and learning in Term 4.
Warm regards,
Karen Roberts
