Welcome to Term 4
It was really nice to see everyone back for the final term of the year. We’re down in numbers, with only the UniReady Year 12 students returning, so the dining room and dorms feel quite sparse. All students and staff seem refreshed and ready to go, which is fantastic to see.
Residential staff returned on Friday to complete their First Aid training onsite, which was super convenient and a lot of fun as we refreshed our knowledge once again.
This Week
This week, students have been making the most of the improving weather, enjoying more outdoor activities after hours.
On Wednesday evening, staff took 36 students to the Harvey Recreation Centre to see the Zap Circus performance. It was a fun night, and the students really enjoyed the outing. This term, we’re holding a residential activities evening once a week, with staff asked to come up with entertaining activities for the residential students.

Thursday night kicked off with Rob and Heidi running a series of fun games in the gymnasium, which were well-received and loads of fun. We’re also planning to hold a regular sports night to encourage participation, teamwork and support among our students.

Dorm Rules Reminder
This term, we have reintroduced the dorm rule that if more than one student is in a room, the door must be left open. We believe this encourages better interaction between students and staff and helps prevent rough play, which can quickly cross the line from “fun” to something more serious.
For all current Year 10 and 11 students, please keep an eye out for an email regarding room requests for 2026. This will be sent very soon, with a closing date of 7th November for submissions via email.
