Welcome back to the start of Term 4
I trust all students had a well-earned rest and have returned recharged to finish the year strongly, setting themselves up as best as possible for 2026.
I thoroughly enjoyed the week of long service leave I attached to the holidays, taking the opportunity to explore the Wheatbelt Way, Carnamah, and Morawa/Cana. The wildflowers and scenery were amazing, and the season is looking very good for those areas.
We need to constantly remind ourselves how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful country and state.
Year 11 & 12 Course Selections 2026
Thank you to those parents, carers, and students who have already submitted their course selection preferences for 2026.
I would like to remind those who have not yet completed this process: course selection forms must be completed and submitted via the links provided earlier by Friday, 17th October.
The course selection process at the College is quite different from that of a regular school, as students who attend the College have already made some choices regarding their career pathway by enrolling here. Students are only required to choose a pathway and focus area, with the relevant subjects already predetermined and selected.
OLNA
The OLNA results were made available to the College this week. Students who sat any of the three OLNA components this round have been provided with a copy of their updated OLNA progress. Parents and carers will be able to access their child’s OLNA results via a link that will be emailed shortly, similar to how school reports are usually accessed.
Year 12 Extension Students
The Year 12 Extension students completed their final school-based exams this week. They now have a study break before returning to sit their state-based ATAR Math exam on Thursday, 6th November. Congratulations and well done on your effort and achievements to date.
Hats on Farm and Trades
All students are required to wear a College bucket hat or Akubra during Terms 1 and 4 while on the farm or in trades. Caps and other non-College hats are not to be worn at any time.
Have a great weekend!
