Farewell Class of 2025!

Reflecting on the Final Days of Year 12
Miss Erin McGuinness | Head of Year 12
As our Year 12 students bring their 2025 schooling journey to a close, we take a moment to reflect on their jam-packed final weeks at the College.
One of the key highlights was Spirit Week, where each day focused on different Fruits of the Spirit. Year 12s are given special permission to participate in themed dress-up days, creating lasting memories and sharing lots of laughter along the way. This year’s themes included:
- Monday – Dress as your younger self
- Tuesday – Future career day
- Wednesday – Pink Day for Breast Cancer Awareness
- Thursday – Yellow Day for R U OK? Day
- Friday – EXO Day and Encounter
EXO Day and Encounter were particularly meaningful events for our Year 12 students, providing a space to come together in worship, enjoy activities and games, and reflect on their shared journey while giving thanks to God. Plus, the food trucks and inflatable rides are an added bonus!
Their final day of school was filled with a mix of bittersweet emotions. It was Wear Your Team Colours Day, and it was great to see students and teachers alike wearing their team’s colours proudly! Lunchtime kicked off with a special Friday on the Green, led by the Year 12s themselves and featuring live music, plenty of energy, and a vibrant atmosphere. This was followed by a relaxed Afternoon Tea with plenty of food, drinks and music to keep the energy going, and gave everyone time to simply enjoy each other’s company and sign everyone’s leavers’ jackets with heartfelt messages. The day concluded with a final prayer as a cohort, led by our Principal, Mr O’Malley, marking the end of a chapter.
We also acknowledge the dedication of our Year 12 ATAR students, who continued their studies over the holidays in preparation for their exam feedback sessions.
Farewell Events
The Year 12 Final Assembly, Pre-Graduation Soirée, and Graduation Ceremony were held on Thursday, 23 October 2025. These events provided a fitting conclusion to the academic journey of our graduating class, celebrating their achievements in a warm and engaging community atmosphere.
Head of Year 12, Ms Erin McGuinness, led a dedicated team of staff in coordinating and delivering the three events with excellence, including Year 12 Pastoral Class Teachers, Miss Alyssia Rudd and Mr Justin Gimm.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Dr Gerry McCoy and Ps Maighread Warchot, who presented The Senior Minister’s Christian Character Award, and Associate Professor Mark Briskey from the School of Law and Criminology at Murdoch University, who presented the Ngala Kwop Biddi Brighter Futures Scholarship. Special thanks are extended to Board Members Mr Rod Pearson and Mr Mihael McCoy for their attendance and support throughout the evening.
