Welcome back to another term of exploration and learning in the Science room!

This term we are beginning with students completing their research projects on a living thing and presenting these projects to their class.  The students commenced these last term as part of our Biology unit.  We are looking forward to learning more about living things from one another!

For our first session back last week we enjoyed some reward time after our term 3 learning - all classes filled their  class star jars by the end of term which resulted in some story time in the sunshine and a fun game - it was a wonderful start to the term!  It was lovely to see the students enjoy some time together and the amazing connections they made between the story "The Oak Tree" by Julia Donaldson and our term 3 learning about living things!

Following this, we will move into our Term 4 area of study – Chemistry.

Across all year levels we will investigate chemistry in the everyday, materials and their different properties, changes to materials, both physical and chemical, and the purpose and effect of these changes.  Students will apply the method of scientific inquiry through engaging in experiments where they will make predictions, record results and draw conclusions.  Looking forward to exploring this topic with our curious students!
