As we have stepped into Term 4, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary journey you and your children have travelled this year. The final term of school brings with it both the culmination of achievements and the anticipation of what lies ahead, and we do have a busy term ahead of us!
Excitement is building as we get ready to welcome families to our Arts Evening next Thursday, 23rd October. Students and staff have been busy putting the finishing touches on their artwork and performances. Our Year 5/6 students have also been in the kitchen this week, helping to cook and prepare some of the delicious treats that will be served on the night. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and pride as they contribute to this special community event. We can’t wait to share an evening filled with art, music, and celebration with you all.

This term we formally begin our 2026 Prep transition program through activities, information sessions and transition mornings.
We also look forward to our Whole School Transition Day on Tuesday 9th December when our Year 6 students head off to secondary school for the day, and all other students progress to their next year level to meet their 2026 class and teacher.
These are just a couple of big events planned for this term, however there will be many more to keep an eye out for. Please continue to review the calendar events sent out on Seesaw and on our school website.
This term we welcome Ms Grace Brown to our St Mary's teaching team. Ms Brown is teaching Grade 5/6 and is replacing Mrs Berry-Smith who is currently on maternity leave.
Planning for 2026 staffing is currently underway. Once all arrangements are finalised, families will be notified about class teachers, specialist teachers, education support staff and the leadership team for next year. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the best possible staffing structure to support our students and school community.
With the beautiful spring weather upon us, our students have been making the most of their playtime outdoors! The playground and new sensory garden area have been full of laughter, creativity, and energy as children enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
It’s been wonderful to see friendships grow and imaginations come alive in these warmer days.
