Letter to Family and Friends

Dear Families,
When resourcing our school, it’s easy to focus on what can be measured in dollars and cents. Budgets, equipment, and facilities all matter of course, and we work hard to ensure every investment brings value. In an accounting sense, one consideration when weighing up spending alternatives is the “useful life” of a resource: how long it will last, and how long it will benefit our community.
However, some benefits cannot easily be measured - or indeed measured tangibly at all! The impact of a dedicated, passionate teacher has no expiry date or "useful life" - it continues well after a student graduates. As our teachers nurture each student, they help to shape and influence their character and confidence, equipping them with the values and skills to make a positive difference in the world.
This week, as we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, we acknowledge and thank the teachers in our school community for the eternal difference they are making in the lives of the children in our care. Their creativity, commitment, patience, and care are at the core of everything we do as a school.
Together, we celebrate the incredible gift that teachers are to our children and to our community.
And we are so grateful to those who shared a word of encouragement this week for our teaching team. Our staff are always uplifted by such thoughtful notes, and it was wonderful to see them displayed along the arbor at the front of the school today.
Blessings,
Michael Denholm
Business Manager
