 PBL

At SFS, our PBL (Positive Behaviours for Learning) school wide expectations are:

Respect,

Responsibility and

Kindness

This week in PBL we have continued to focus on RESPECT: Use good manners. Learning manners helps children in different social situations to be more confident and helps them to communicate effectively, and build positive relationships with others.

Here are some of our lucky PBL raffle winners from last week who have been observed showing the SFS expected behaviours.

Congratulations to these students.

I would love some parent input about PBL. Here is the PBL matrix that we teach our school expected behaviours from.

What behaviours would you like to see being taught at school. Are there any gaps on our matrix that you can see? Please email me your feedback rlenko@sfslynbrook,cactholic.edu.au or make a time to come and chat with me about PBL if you would like to know more or have some ideas to share.

SRC news

Our SRC reps have been busy organising some extra lunchtime activities for SFS students to participate in during Term 2. This week Ricky and Zach successfully ran a lunchtime Badminton club in the hall with the help of teacher Ashleigh.

It is wonderful to see students using their own initiative to action a positive change in the school and share a skill with the school that they are passionate about. The Junior students have had a chance to participate in skipping, basketball, soccer, line tiggy being organised and run by Senior students.

If students have ideas to make the school better they can write them down and place them in the SRC ideas box in their learning space or can use the student portal and click on the SRC ideas form to share an idea. It is wonderful to see students sharing some ideas with the school.

Our Semester 2 SRC reps will be announced soon and will be presented with their badges at the start of term 2.
