Holiday Reading Fun

The winter holidays are the perfect time to curl up with a great book. Whether it’s a new adventure, a favourite series, or a fun family read-aloud, holiday reading is a wonderful way to relax and keep imaginations active.

While the ISS library takes a holiday break, don’t forget that BCC libraries have plenty on offer, including activities and author workshops. I spotted the fabulous Australian author Aleesah Darlison will be visiting Indooroopilly Library on 2nd July, 10:30am–11:30am. A perfect holiday outing! Year 4 Author Pen Pals

We’ve received a brand new letter from our Pen Pal, author Pip Harry! Pop in to the library to read Pip’s latest update and discover some wonderful writing tips she’s shared with us.

Library Monitors

Our senior students are stepping up as mentors, helping to train our younger library monitors on the Infiniti library system. Here, one of our library leaders is getting into role as a Year 1 student to help our monitor learn the Infiniti procedures for our P-2 students. It’s wonderful to see their leadership, confidence and teamwork on display.
