Richmond Tigers Incursion

As you can see, our 5/6's were paid a visit from a few Richmond Tigers players in an open Q & A session. The students were given some time to think of questions to ask them, relating to areas of leadership and motivation that they could apply to their own lives. It was pleasing to see a few of the questions genuinely stumping the players and requiring them to think deeply for a response. These included, 'What advice would you give yourself at 12?' and 'If you could pick 3 people to have dinner with, who would they be?'. Overall, the students (and staff) enjoyed the experience and I hope the students took something positive away from the experience.

PE Focus

Foundation and the 1/2's have been working on their Athletics unit as well in preparation for Term 3's Junior Athletics Day. This past fortnight they have been working on their leaping ability when doing mini hurdles and teamwork when participating in their relay races. I'm hoping that all this practice will make them confident to participate and enjoy the day when it arrives!

Inter School Sports

Inter School Sports have now wrapped up for another Term and we are awaiting the results of a few other schools to see if any teams will progress to the next stage. The feedback from all teachers about their teams has been positive and it is great to see everyone enjoy the experience. In Term 3, students in 5/6 will participate in a round robin on Friday mornings with a variety of different sports so that they are exposed to the wide world of sports!
