Planning Week

In preparation for Term 3, all teaching teams and specialist teachers have had a planning day this week. They were supported by Mr Cook and myself with the planning of literacy and numeracy as well as Mrs Uzunovski for the planning of phonics and integrated studies. During the day we analysed student achievement this semester, the curriculum that had already been taught and what is next according to student needs and our curriculum scope and sequence.

The days were extremely productive and have laid a strong foundation for all year levels to begin Term 3 with enthusiasm, on Monday 21st July.

Semester 1 Reports

Over the past few weeks teaching staff have been completing various assessments and participating in moderation sessions to analyse student achievement in preparation for the writing of Semester 1 student reports. As a leadership team we have recently read student reports and this has been a great opportunity to celebrate the achievement and academic growth through the school as well as determining future learning needs and goals for our students in Semester 2.

Student reports will soon be available on the Compass platform for families to access. Please read over the report carefully and celebrate the achievements with your child/ren. Next Tuesday and Wednesday there are schedule parent teacher conferences where you will have the opportunity to discuss the report with the teachers. Bookings for conferences can be done on Compass. If you have any difficulty booking an appointment please contact the office for assistance.

NAIDOC Week

Thank you to the students who submitted entries for the NAIDOC Week competitions last week. All submitted entries were posted to Sydney on Friday so they arrive in time for next week's judging.

Fingers crossed we may have some of our entries displayed in some council chambers, libraries and possibly at Parliament House. And who knows - we could possibly have some prize winners....

Have a lovely weekend.
