A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are quickly heading towards the end of term two and it has been a busy and productive term full of learning, growth  and community connection.

This week, we also extend a warm welcome to Mr Anthony Matthews, who has joined our school as our new Assistant Principal. We are delighted to have him on our team and know he will be a great asset to our school community.

We were blessed with good weather for our Athletics Carnival and the students brought such great spirit, enthusiasm and sportsmanship to the day. A huge thank you to Mrs Kellie Foley for her outstanding organisation of the event and ensuring that the day ran smoothly. We appreciate all of Kellie’s work as a lot of time goes into organising an Athletics Carnival. To all the staff who supported and worked tirelessly on the day to make it such a success. It was wonderful to have many parents assist on the day. These days are not possible without the help of parents. It was a true celebration of community, participation and fun.

The winning team from the carnival as well as the age champions will be announced at assembly tomorrow, Friday 13 June.

Teachers are currently finalising student reports, which will be sent home via Compass on Friday 27 June. These reports are an important reflection of your child’s learning progress and achievements over the semester.

To support this, Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place during the week beginning Monday 30 June. Booking information and interview times will be sent home next week. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to strengthen the home-school partnership and we encourage all families to make the time to meet with their child’s teacher.

I also want to acknowledge and thank those parents who stay for assembly each morning and help model active listening for our students. Your presence and support make a big difference. Families are kindly reminded to say goodbye to children before the bell rings to assist in a smooth and settled start to the day.

As always thank you for your continued support and partnership with StMM’s assisting all to learn and thrive in 25.

Kind Regards,

Grace
