Year 4 Indonesian dance Class

During specialist classes on Tuesday the 31st of August the Indonesian and Music lessons for Year 4 were combined to give the students an opportunity to participate in a cross-curricular Indonesian dance lesson.

Bu Nita from 'Baguskan' visited and taught 2 dances to each class. One from the island of Java and the other from North Sumatra.

Both Bu Jacqui and Mrs Mason were very impressed by the Year Four students and their level of engagement and respect throughout the lessons. 

Bu Nita and Bu Jacqui are now hopeful that they can put together a small Indonesian dance group that will rehearse occasionally at lunch times and hopefully have the chance to perform at various international community events. Currently this opportunity is reserved for Year 4 students but may be extended to students in other year levels in the future.
