Foundation and Junior Robotics

This term, the Juniors have been very busy in lunchtime robotics clubs.

In Year 1, the students have begun their turn in the Junior Robotics club. They have been using the Lego Spike Essentials to follow instructions to make models, and then code them to program the sensors or motors.

The Foundations have had the opportunity to use the Lego WeDo as an introduction to their Lego Robotics journey at BEPS! They have been excellent so far at listening to instructions and following the expectations whilst using the Lego Kits.

Students from both groups have had their say about what they have enjoyed so far about the clubs:

Claire- I like building things.

Natalie- I like building and making things.

Cayla- I like learning about how to build things.

Arjun- In Junior Robotics we build things with Lego because it is my second favourite toy.

Maximus- I like when we learn how to build things that are fun.

Darren- I like it because we can make things like the moving boat.

Wade- I like the coding because it is fun and you get to see how to make it. It can spin in different directions.

Charles- I like the coding because we can control it and make it spin.
