Wellbeing

Welcome to the 2025 School Year!  - Rick Scade Wellbeing Coordinator

In this section of the newsletter, we provide an update of what is happening in the Wellbeing Space at Fyans Park Primary School. If you have any ideas, comments or questions please do not hesitate to contact me – Rick.Scade@education.vic.gov.au

At Fyans Park ‘The Resilience Project’ is one of our pillar programs that we utilise to teach social and emotional learning, and overall wellbeing.

The Resilience Project is committed to teaching positive mental health strategies to prevent mental ill-health and build young people’s capacity to deal with adversity.

Teachers and students will engage in weekly lessons and activities around the key principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM) and Emotional Literacy, to build resilience.

Check out their website for more information: The Resilience Project

And check out TRP@HOME; a place filled with inspiration and activities for the whole family, to help improve your wellbeing and build resilience. TRP@HOME

Wellbeing Leaders 2025

The 2024 Wellbeing Leaders have commenced the year well, showing a great deal of consideration towards their peers, particularly the younger students. Their current focus will be on preparing the Year 6 Peer Mediation Roster which commences next Monday 3rd February. Peer Mediators are an extra support in the yard for students who can help resolve any problems. If you have any ideas in the Wellbeing Space, please see one of our friendly Wellbeing Team Leaders below - Max B and Grace E.
