WELLBEING - MESH TRAINING

MRS MANDY MCCALLUM - DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING

Our school counsellor, Tylah Gibbins, has recently completed her training as a Mental, Emotional, Social, & Spiritual Health Support Group Facilitator! This means even more tools and resources to support the well-being of our students and families.

The MESH Program addresses and supports individuals’ emotional needs, health and well being at a profound and very personal level. Life, school and work therefore becomes a far more positive and productive experience.

Next year we aim to offer MESH to groups of students who are struggling with anxiety, this support group will empower students to:

  • deal with situations, thoughts and concerns in a safe environment,
  • develop healthy communication skills
  • identify and express feelings appropriately
  • learn to treat self and others with respect and dignity
  • learn that we are responsible for our own lives and based on our choices,
  • have the power to change.

Our Wellbeing staff wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as we finish up for the school year and move into 2025 we will continue to prioritize a positive and nurturing environment for everyone in our school community.
