Athletics Day- Monday 24th Mar
The Grade 3/4 team would like to welcome everyone for the 2025 school year. We really enjoyed meeting with our families during the interviews last week! Please don't hesitate to contact your child's classroom teacher if you have any queries throughout this year.
Our team (and their emails) are as follows;
Brooke Ingram: brooke.ingram@education.vic.gov.au
We ask that Grade 4 students begin to bring in their laptop cases so that we can store them safely while we have them in class. We await newly ordered cases for Grade 3 students in the upcoming days. Please send your children with headphones you may have at home, as we use these a lot during the year. * Netbooks are expected to go home on Friday 14th February, however this date may be postponed if cases have not arrived.
We will provide each student with a login card including all frequently used website usernames and password details.
We ask that Netbooks be charged nightly to ensure they last the whole day! (Chargers should be kept at home.)
The Department of Education and Training (Department) and Spring Gully Primary School are using online learning services to support learning and teaching. Please see the attachment below, which provides information on one of the online services, G Suite for Education and advice in relation to its safe and responsible use.
Things might look a little different in the middle school for our Grade 3 students! Students are responsible for bringing Library books home as their home reading option. We also welcome students to bring in books they love from home. We do not send home dot readers or satchels in Grade 3/4. If your child continues with a reading journal, we will check it each Friday. We offer, Think Mentals, Essential Assessment and Talk Homework as additional options to complement in-class learning in Mathematics and Writing.
Our fabulous Start-Up Performance will be held on Thursday 20th February with a start time still to be advised. We have each paired up with a Grade 1/2 class and preparations are underway for our wonderful performance.
Monday 10th February is our annual Swim Sports Carnival at Bendigo East Pool!
Students are asked to wear their bathers to school under their uniform and bring along thongs/crocs, to change into before we leave the school on our buses. All students must wear rash vests or equivalent (torso must be covered) during the day, however they can be taken off to race.
Parents are welcome to attend and cheer on their children! When taking photos, please refrain from taking photos of other students. We advise that students are not to bring money for the canteen, as the canteen will be closed on the day.
