From the Principal

This week marked our middle year students' final day of school for 2024, with our senior year students’ final day last week. With our school holidays and Christmas break upon us, it’s a time to reflect on what a fantastic year it has been.

To the Year 11s, good luck for next year—work hard and enjoy your final year. To the Year 10s, next year is crucial for setting a strong foundation for Year 12.

2024 has been a year of growth, highlighted by the opening of the Discovery Centre, upgrades to facilities, and modifications to the school uniform. We also upgraded spaces like the Middle Years Playground, and while the mobile phone ban was initially controversial, it has helped reduce bullying and promote outdoor activities.

A major achievement was completing our Strategic Plan. These holidays we will install upstairs toilets, a meeting space and a new entrance directly to Plaza 2. These successes are thanks to the dedication of our staff, the ideals of our students and the support from the Board. As we head into the holidays, I encourage everyone to rest and celebrate. Looking ahead to 2025, we’ve laid the groundwork for continued growth and have exciting plans for the College.

This week, I shared plans to our staff and families and am excited to share to our greater community of a significant milestone in the history of Endeavour College.

We are in the early stages of planning a transformative building project that, pending necessary approvals, will expand our educational offerings and enhance our facilities. This vision reflects our commitment to growth and providing exceptional education.

The proposed expansion includes the introduction of Reception to Year 6 education, creating a seamless pathway from early learning to Year 12. This marks an exciting opportunity for our College to welcome younger students into our community, fostering their development in a nurturing a faith-centered environment.

Additionally, we are planning a state-of-the-art performing arts centre, complete with an auditorium and stage, designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and engagement for our students and the wider community. This facility is envisioned to serve as a hub for cultural events and community connections, further strengthening our ties to the Lutheran ethos and local area.

This project has been guided by the strategic vision and leadership of Endeavour College’s Board, ensuring it remains aligned with our mission and the needs of our community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board for their unwavering dedication and vision, which have been instrumental in driving this project forward.

While these plans are still in their formative stages, they align closely with our Strategic Plan, ensuring Endeavour College continues to adapt and thrive as we prepare for the future. We are committed to keeping you informed as this exciting new chapter unfolds and look forward to sharing updates with you soon.

I look forward to entering into another fantastic year at Endeavour College for 2025 with a lot to be grateful for, to all staff, your efforts have made a lasting impact this year. Thank you for your care and dedication. For those that are leaving, May God’s blessings accompany you in the next chapter.

To our students, thank you for your hard work, dedication and for treating others the way you want to be treated. Have a wonderful holiday break.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."  (Joshua 1:9)

Finally, to our families and the great Endeavour community, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your loyalty, belief in our school and staff, and unwavering support throughout the year. Your partnership enriches our community and helps us continue to thrive together.

May this festive season bring you joy, peace, and cherished moments with loved ones. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and connection in 2025.

Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season.
