Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
And we are back!
It has been so wonderful that our children have returned safely after the school holidays, full of smiles, happy to see their friends and explore their new learning spaces.
I thank all the staff for their time and effort in ensuring our school is ready for our children.
We offer our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the O'Connell family on the loss of Ashlynne's dad, Jason. Please keep Ashy, Makaira and Sal in your thoughts and prayers.
We also offer our condolences to Mrs Newton, whose sister passed away in the holidays. Please keep Anne in your thoughts and prayers as well.
We are also thinking and praying for families who have been, or are now, being impacted by bushfires. Please know you have our love and support.
This week's newsletter is a list of key information. Please read carefully.
Newsletters:
This year, newsletters will be released every fortnight. In alternate weeks, there will be reminders of key events, information, and dates.
Check their bags:
Coming home with children today are:
Family Summary Reports—Please check that the details on these forms are correct, sign them, and return to the office. Even if all information is correct, the form still needs to be signed and returned.
Code of Conduct - All families are required to read, sign and return our Code of Conduct forms, please.
Some key dates for the year.
Bus Forms:
This is a reminder that bus forms were sent home, and we need them returned ASAP so we can generate our school-based bus lists and get the children on the right bus on the right day.
Lunch Orders:
These start next week. Lunch orders are placed in the tubs in the children's Learning Spaces on a Tuesday for lunches to be delivered on a Thursday.
School Photos:
School photos are on Monday, February 17th. Keep an eye out for information on how to order these, which will be released soon.
Beginning of Year Mass:
We will celebrate Mass together and announce our 2025 School Leadership teams on February 7th at 12:00 noon. We look forward to seeing you all there.
BYO Family Picnic Tea:
We would love to have families join us from 5:30 pm next Thursday, February 6th, to get to know other families within our school. See you there!
Uniform:
Please ensure that all children are in the correct uniform. As a reminder, this does not include black socks. If, for some reason, children are out of uniform, they are expected to have a note for their teacher.
Hair that sits on the shoulders must be tied up, and ribbons, etc. should only be green, white, gold, or yellow and appropriate for school.
This is just a reminder that all children must have a green hat to wear at school. Please note that only Prep children should wear the hats they are given for their Prep year. All other children need a regular school hat.
Phones/Watches:
Children with phones must place them in their class message bag each morning, and they will be returned at the end of the day. This also applies to any type of watch with any communication capacity. We appreciate your cooperation with this.
Pick up/Drop off:
As always, please take care and be patient during pickup and drop-off times. The school is extremely busy, and the safety of our children is our priority. This is a reminder that you will need to walk to the gate to collect your children.
As always, we are here to talk and listen should you have any questions or concerns.
Wishing everyone a wonderful year ahead.
Louise
