Wellbeing

Welcome back to St Brendan’s for an exciting year ahead in 2025. I hope that everyone enjoyed a restful holiday and is settling back into the rhythm of school life.

I am Camille Rossouw, and I am the new Wellbeing Leader at St Brendan’s. Together with our dedicated team, we are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for your child.

At St Brendan’s, we are proud advocates of promoting Student Voice in every aspect of our school life. We actively encourage students to express their thoughts, opinions, and ideas, and we not only listen but also take meaningful actions based on their valuable input.

This year, our focus remains on the implementation of the Respectful Relationships program, employing a whole-school approach. We have integrated this initiative with Religious Education, emphasizing the holistic development of each student.

At St Brendan’s, our overarching goal is to empower students and staff to become positive contributors to society and achieve success in life. The ability to build meaningful relationships plays a pivotal role in realising this objective. Positive connections between students, teachers, and peers contribute to a sense of safety and happiness at school, foster resilience, and cultivate positive social attitudes. These relationships not only enhance social connectedness and a sense of belonging but also correlate with improved health and academic outcomes.

Warm regards,
