2026 Prep Enrolments Open!
The application process for the 2026 Prep year is officially open!
We’re also offering school tours, so if you’d like to take a closer look at our facilities, feel free to book a tour! It’s a fantastic way to see everything we have to offer and get any questions answered.
If you’d like more information, we have an enrolment pack available at the office, which includes all the details you need to get started. We can’t wait to welcome siblings of existing students and new families to Yarra Road Primary School.
Voting at Yarra Road Primary School this Saturday
This Saturday, our school will be serving as a polling centre for the upcoming election. We’re excited to welcome the community to our school and showcase our wonderful school.
A huge thank you to our amazing Parent Association for all their hard work in organising and running the event! They’ve put in a lot of time and effort to make sure everything runs smoothly, and we’re so grateful for their dedication.
To make the day even more enjoyable, there will be plenty of delicious food available for purchase, including sausages, egg and bacon rolls, and a fabulous bake sale! It’s the perfect chance to grab a tasty treat while you’re out and about.
We encourage everyone to come down, vote, grab some delicious food, and support our school community. We can’t wait to see you there!
A Big Thank You to Our Parent Association for an Amazing Term 1!
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Parent Association for all their hard work and dedication throughout Term 1. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to enjoy some fantastic events, including the Hot Cross Buns Morning Tea and Fundraiser, and the ever-popular Easter Raffle.
These events not only brought our school community together, but also raised important funds that support our students and enhance their learning experiences. We truly appreciate the time, energy, and creativity that the Parent Association put into making these activities so special.
Your ongoing support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for the rest of the year. Thank you again for everything – you truly make a difference!
Every Day Counts
The importance of regular school attendance.
At Yarra Road Primary School, we prioritise regular school attendance. We will work with families to ensure students are in class with their peers and teachers and enjoying all the benefits that brings.
Attending school every day means experiencing what counts – the learning, friendship, fun, and opportunities that can shape your child’s future.
We understand that there are times when your child will need to miss school, but to ensure minimal disruption to their education, please consider scheduling family holidays or medical/dental appointments outside of school time.
If your child is having difficulty attending school, talk to their teacher about getting support.
The JSC representatives are excited to host a Zentangle Pattern Bookmark activity for all students before the end of Term 1.
Using the Zentangle method—a relaxing and creative way to draw and colour structured patterns with simple shapes, like dots, lines, and curves—students can design their own unique bookmarks or colour a Zentagle design. An Easter-themed bookmark option will also be available.
Activity Dates:
Prep, Year 1 & 2 – Friday, 21st April at 1:00 PM
Year 3 & 4 – Friday, 28th April at 1:00 PM
Year 5 & 6 – Thursday, 27th April at 1:30 PM
Join the JSC representatives in Mrs. Freene’s classroom and get creative!
