Carlsruhe Annexe /

Main Campus - Year 4

Last week, it was wonderful to see how smoothly 4LS and 4SM settled into their new learning spaces. 4LS have settled into their new classroom near the front of the school, in the company of the senior unit classes. Meanwhile, 4SM have found their stride in the portable classroom at Carlsruhe, where they are thriving in their new responsibilities—caring for the animals, tending to the garden, and enjoying the creative energy that comes with cubby building time. It’s fantastic to see students collaborating, playing, and making the most of their new environment!

Friday Activities

4LS and 4AD enjoyed the rotational activities, exploring new challenges and hands-on learning experiences. They participated in cooking, gardening, calligraphy, weaving, indigenous art for the garden & outdoor creative writing.

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers who helped make these sessions possible! Next term, 4AD and 4SM will kick off their own Friday activities, and we’ll be seeking more parent helpers to join in the fun. Keep an eye out for ways to get involved!

Literacy Adventures

Year 4 students have been truly inspired by the captivating works of Jeannie Baker. During our literacy sessions, we are exploring the beautifully written The Hidden Forest, a mesmerizing tale of adventure as Ben and Sophie uncover the wonders of a secret underwater world. Through this story, students are diving into the rich language—examining the vivid nouns, expressive verbs, and descriptive adjectives that bring the narrative to life. It's incredible to see them discovering the power of words and storytelling in such an engaging way!
