WORSHIP SERVICES AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to attend the worship service held in the Church each Sunday at 9.30am.

BIBLE GIFTING FOR RECEPTION CHILDREN

On Sunday, it was lovely to see so many staff and families attend our worship service, which included gifting Bibles to the Reception children and a re-dedication of staff.  There were bubbles being blown everywhere to welcome people in, a short drama during the service and some craft and activities with morning tea afterwards. It was a great morning and lots of fun.

Children who did not attend will still receive a Bible.  This will be given to them in a school chapel service.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Held every Tuesday during term time from 9-10.30am, Playgroup @ St Paul is for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver. School families are more than welcome to come across after you have done the school drop-off.  We won’t be completely set up, but you are still welcome to hang out with us.

Cost is $2 per family and your first visit is free.

Come and check out the play space, make a craft, play with playdough, explore the sensory play space, and join in with story and song time.

This week we made special fingerprint butterfly (or close to it!) ornaments for the mothers and special women in our lives, ready to celebrate with them on Mother’s Day this Sunday.

Next week we will be looking at Ducks with the return of ‘Super Duck’ by Jez Alborough,

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK

This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday, where we remember that Jesus says I am the Good Shepherd.  I am – meaning he is your Shepherd with you right here, right now, in whatever is happening in your life.  The highs, the lows and everything in between.  He is the Good Shepherd who loves you, cares for you and protects you and calls you to follow him.  As it says in the Bible verse of the week:

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10:27-28)

Psalm 23 is one of the most recognised parts of the Bible and illustrates how Jesus cares for those who follow him.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK

Jesus our Shepherd, please give us ears that listen to you, minds that seek you and

hearts that follow you. Amen.

BLESSING OF THE WEEK

(Child’s Name) May God’s goodness and love be with you each day of your life.  Amen.
