Term Focus: Wearing our Uniform with Pride

The school uniform identifies the school within the community and develops a sense of school spirit and belonging within the student body. Some specific uniform requirements, such as shoes, hair and jewellery, are directly related to student safety. The wearing of the correct school uniform is compulsory, and students are expected to arrive wearing it daily, ready to learn.

Please refer to our previous newsletter for specific details on our uniform.

We are learners

Last Monday our staff engaged in a  day of professional learning. Our teaching staff and Educational Assistants covered a range of topics throughout the day. We look forward to working through our learning with Denise McHugh from (NSW Education Standards Authority) around Assessments as we work through the Semester 2 Assessment and Reporting period.

GRIP Leadership

Our 16 SRC and House Captains attended a day of learning in Armidale with many Public, Catholic and Independent school representatives.

It was an engaging event focused on developing practical leadership skills and fostering a positive mindset. The conference provided a dynamic environment for our students to connect with peers from other schools, participate in interactive workshops, and hear from inspiring speakers. This experience aimed to empower our students to take on leadership roles within our school community and beyond, equipping them with new perspectives and actionable strategies to make a positive impact. The students shared some of the highlights of their day:

My favourite part of the day was the fact that it was not just a sit down and take notes day. Instead it was very fun and interactive. - Audrey

I really enjoyed the 'You've got a friend in me' song and message. - Tom
