MPS Alumni (1954-71)

"We are past students of Murrumbeena Primary School who left after Grade 6 in 1954 - 71 years ago, when the population of Australia was only 9 million. Those of us who started school in Grade 1 have known each other for more than 75 years.  There are about 20 of us who meet for lunch every six months. We still have vivid memories of our time at the school when it was a very different place. The swimming pool could be freezing cold, the grounds were very muddy when it rained, and we all walked or rode our bikes to school. Our teachers were amazing, and sometimes had classes with 60 students.  We hold our lunches at the Mathew Flinders Hotel, and would welcome other past students who have long memories of the School."  If you are interested in joining please email John on ejohnmcintosh16@gmail.com.
