St Joseph's Respectful Student Award

At St. Joseph’s we pride ourselves on being safe, valued, respected, cared for and being learners. As a Catholic school we can relate these to the Catholic Social Teaching of Human Dignity. The Catholic social teaching principle of human dignity is about understanding that each of us is made in God’s image. Every person has an innate human dignity no one can take away.

We are all required to respect and uphold the dignity of each and every human being and at St. Joseph’s we are going to continue to foster and build our respect towards ourselves, others and our environment.

This is why we have introduced a new respect award at each assembly. The St. Joseph’s Respectful Student award will be presented to two students each fortnight who have consistently demonstrated respect. These two people will be chosen by one of our staff members (you won’t know who) and at the end of the term all 10 recipients will receive a special treat with Mr McManus to celebrate.

This fortnight our two recipients of our St. Joseph’s Respectful Student awards are ….Henry Grob: Beautiful manners, being thoughtful and supportive of others

....Allee McLeod: She is consistently respectful of everyone and is always kind and caring to others. She is an absolute pleasure to teach and always has a smile on her face.
