Dear Families,

School Savings Bonus

You may be aware that every student attending a government school will be receiving a $400 School Savings Bonus to assist with costs relating to your child attending school. You can find more information regarding this initiative further in the newsletter - but the most important thing you can do at this stage is ensure your phone number and email address are up to date on Compass, as this is how you will receive further information from the Department of Education.

Father's Day

On behalf of our school community, I'd like to thank our parent fundraising committee and volunteers for the organisation of the Father's Day Stall. To all the fathers and father figures of our community, we hope you had a wonderful Father's Day and enjoyed being pampered by your family.

Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Student-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Tuesday the 17th and Wednesday the 18th of September from 3:30pm. During these conference, families will have the opportunity to speak with teachers. Teachers will also discuss students' Individual Learning Plans which include next earning goals based on their latest learning data. Bookings can be made directly on Compass now. 

Achievement Week

I would like to extend my congratulations to our students for their fantastic efforts in celebrating their learning growth during achievement week last week. Teachers have been working with students to complete a range of assessments aligned with our school assessment schedule to measure students' progress so far this year and understand their next steps in learning to set relevant goals. 

2025 Planning

We are getting to the time of the year when we begin planning for 2025. We would appreciated if you could inform our office at the soonest time if your child is leaving the school at the end of this year. This will support us in ensuring we can organise a thorough transition process for your child with their new school. At the other end of the spectrum, if you, or you know of anyone, who plans on sending their child to Albanvale Primary School in 2025 please make sure they visit the office as soon as possible. The Enrolment date for Prep 2025 has now passed. This means any applications will be subject to our enrolment policy for acceptance. Of course, this prioritises those who live in our designated zone but can still allow for some students out of the zone. We encourage interested families to get in touch as soon as possible.
