From the Principal

I know many people in our community are excited about the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. It is a very special time every four years when we can come together and celebrate the athletes who have dedicated their lives to representing our country. The students will have lots of informal opportunities to catch some of the games while they are here at school, but we are also having a Green and Gold Day on August 7th (Wednesday) and then our very own STM Olympics on August 8th (Thursday). I will share more details about these events in the newsletter next week. Aussie Aussie Aussie!!!!

This week we have had lots of staff and students away unwell. We keep those families in our prayers and hope they recover and get back to school soon.

On Monday during assembly I mentioned that we had 30 students away and the school felt very small, please if your child is sick I ask you keep them home until they are well enough to return.

On Monday night I met with the Parents and Friends committee, there are so many exciting things to look forward to this term.

  • School Disco
  • Hot Lunches
  • Trivia Night
  • Father's Day Stall

It was great to see some new faces at the meeting. It is great to see the group grow. Please keep your eyes peeled as more information comes out for each event.

OSHC: Youth Leadership Victoria:

YLV did have another person employed to work at our school, unfortunately this has fallen through and we once again face a little bit of uncertainty. Joe will be in every morning and also on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. At this stage we have no one for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon. I will pass on more information as it comes to hand.

For everyone who uses YLV Joe's phone number is 0420 657 552. Please use this number for emergencies only.

I am sorry for the constant disruptions to this service.
