Years F & 1
In science this term we are looking at the topic Schoolyard Safari. On Monday afternoon we got some magnifying glasses and went out in the garden to see what animals and insects we could find. We moved around different parts of the school and students found little beetles and worms.
In art we finished off our tree pictures by adding lines and different patterns to the tree and the bottom part of the page. The students were very creative with the features they added and they came up great.
This afternoon we shared the secret as to what the potatoes are going to be used for and we celebrated our open ceremony of the Potato Olympics. Students got their potatoes and they had to give them a name, what sport they played, measure their size and weight and think about what country they are going to represent. Students decorate their potatoes with faces and features so they are ready to participate in the games to be held next week. We have some great events planned and can't wait to share what we get up to next week.
