Dear Parents and Carers,
Lots of comfy students and teachers today acknowledging pyjama day. The aim of the day is to raise funds for The National Pyjama Foundation’s Love of Learning program and support children living in foster care. Thank you for all your kind donations, we raised $1230.00.
Father’s day Breakfast: Our annual Father’s Day breakfast is fast approaching. This year our Father’s day Breakfast will be on Wednesday 28th August ( Romero/Kolbe) or Thursday 29th August (Teresa/Samaritan). Due to limited space the breakfast will be for fathers and school age children, unfortunately we will not be able to cater for toddlers. Doors will open at 7.40 am for a 7:45am start. Dad’s are welcome to visit their child’s classrooms from 8.40-8.50am. The cost will be $10.00 per adult ticket and student tickets are free. Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge: Each year our school participates in the The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge. This is a great initiative that encourages students to develop a love for reading. It also allows students the opportunity to read a variety of books that enhances their reading, vocabulary, comprehension and overall literacy skills. It has been great to see how many students have already completed the challenge and I thank Mrs Watt, Mrs Ryan, our teachers and of course our parents for encouraging our students to take part in this initiative. Just a reminder to parents that our library is open for parents and students every morning from 8:30 AM and after school. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to read with your children and explore new books together.
We want to remind all parents that the safety of our students is our top priority. Despite our continuous efforts, some safety concerns remain. We ask for your cooperation in ensuring a safe environment for all. We have observed an increasing number of parents parking in the staff car park. This has become a significant safety concern for our students. While we understand that parking is a challenge due to ongoing roadworks and other factors, the safety of our students must always come first. We ask that all parents and guardians refrain from using the staff car park. Thank you for your support and understanding.
School closure day : Tuesday 20th August.
Please check the school community calendar for planned events and activities for this term.
God Bless and have a lovely weekend.
