Dear Parents and Carers,

Last week I attended a 2 day Retreat with many of my colleague Principals at The Hermitage in Mittagong. I was so grateful for the opportunity to spend time away from the busyness of life and sit in silence and in prayer and listen to the attentive whisper of God. The theme over the two days addressed prayer through being “Pilgrims of Hope”.

As we journey through life, we often encounter moments that challenge and inspire us. During these times, many find solace and strength in prayer. Prayer can be a powerful tool, offering a sense of peace, guidance, and connection to something greater than ourselves.

In our busy world, taking a moment to pray can help centre our thoughts and provide clarity. Whether it’s through words, music, meditation, or silent reflection, prayer can be a source of comfort and hope, helping us navigate life's ups and downs with grace and resilience.

I encourage you all to embrace the practice of prayer in whatever form resonates with you. During my time in Mittagong I prayed for you all. I took many inspirational ideas on how to bring prayer alive in our community in many different ways and look forward to sharing them with you all. I pray as we journey together that we all find moments of peace and inspiration through prayer.

I hope you have had a chance to read the Welcome Letter I shared earlier this week that outlines a range of exciting and engaging events throughout the term. It promises to be rich in learning experiences for the students and our community! Wishing you all a term full of hope, love and curiosity.

“ Those who hope in the Lord will run and not be weary.” ( Isaiah 40:31)
