This week in Writing we are learning to write a sentence using a prompt.

VOCABULARY

Creative Writing:  encourages children to use their imagination to invent characters, settings, and plots, fostering a love for storytelling.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Using the picture below, have you child create a sentence. Have them orally tell you the sentence then write it down. Remind them to use their writing strategies:

• Stretching out the words to hear beginning, middle and end sounds
• Capital letters at the beginning of the sentence
• Full stops
