Seed Saving to Serving Sustainable
We are wrapping up our Seed Saving to Serving Sustainable food project as our seedlings continue to grow in the vegetable beds. The project saw students collecting seeds that had set from last year's crop, creating a seed saving library, learning about the biology of a seed, propagating the seeds, monitoring plant growth and planting seedlings out. Future Kitchen Garden sessions will harvest the vegetables once they are ready. In the meantime, if any families feel like watering or weeding with the students, please let us know.
Thanks again to Jo Thompson for her initiative, time and energy for this project.
Thanks to Junior Landcare for our Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant!
