Grandparent's Day

It was great to see so many wonderful guests at our Grandparent's Day Afternoon. There were lots of activities and games to share with our special people and everyone had a great time.

Halloween

Witches, zombies and ghouls a plenty at Newham's Halloween Parade! We hope everyone had a great Halloween and got plenty of treats!

Diwali

Diwali is a Hindu celebration. Its about putting lanterns and rangoli's in their house to make Lakshmi come to their house to give them good luck for money. We made Diwali rangoli's out of sand and food colouring. I liked it.

Author Chat with Katrina Nannestad

On Saturday 26 October, some of us joined Katrina Nannestad at Squishy Minnie for chats, a reading of All the Beautiful Things, and book signings. Quinn and Sabine did an amazing job of interviewing Katrina for us. Katrina was so impressed with how prepared, thoughtful and articulate they were. She was also impressed with all the other NPS students she met (Henry, Bea, Alice, Charlie and Billie), and how passionate we are about books at our school.

Science!

Today the buddy classes got together for a practical science challenge. What proportion of vinegar and bicarb will help us get paint off concrete? Buddy groups created chemical reactions with their ingredients, then took turns scrubbing. We'll try and post some 'before and after' photos next time.
