Principal's Report

Tim Furphy, Principal

Welcome back following what I hope was an enjoyable long weekend for all. There's plenty that's happened, and plenty more to come as we head towards the end of Term 4. We welcomed our grandparents in for an afternoon of fun in the classrooms, and what a great turnout it was. I know everyone loved having you in here, it created such a nice atmosphere in the building with plenty of smiles, fun and laughter. There's plenty of photos on the School Events page.

We've signed off on works to be tendered out to businesses as part of some facilities upgrades funded by the VSBA (Victorian Schools Building Authroity). In the coming weeks you'll see some changes around our school with these happening. Mostly little things that help keep our building/s bushfire safe, although some seating/retaining walls are being constructed around play areas, garden mulch being replaced by pebbles and sanding/painting of the landing areas of our portables will make these look good as new.

Cubby update - As mentioned at assembly a fortnight ago, Cubby number 2 was voted as being the most popular (by far!).  As a result of some huge fundraising efforts (ongoing 10c donations, trivia night etc) this has been purchased. It will be placed around our existing cubby with the area to be landscaped nicely. There's unfortunately a small asterix that comes with this, being the "build and delivery time" of up to 8 weeks, argh! I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Heres some of the Bike Ed fun:
