As mentioned in stage newsletters, please dress your children in their correct summer uniform. The weather is beginning to get quite hot, and students cannot regulate their bodies well in long pants or shirts. We appreciate your support.

Congratulations to Emily N on winning the Willoughby Council's Emerging Writers Competition. Emily wrote an engaging imaginative piece, using precise vocabulary, an engaging structure and character and a vivid fantasy setting. Well done Emily!

On Wednesday 30 October, Chatswood Public School was thrilled to host preschool students from Three Little Birds Preschool as part of our ongoing transition to school programs. The pre-schoolers joined our Echidna Pod for engaging literacy activities and story time, allowing them to experience the excitement of “big school” while fostering friendships with our current kindergarten students. Our Echidna students read stories and assisted with drawing and writing, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone agreed the morning was a great success, and we look forward to welcoming our incoming 2025 kindergarteners from Three Little Birds and continuing our partnerships with local preschools.
There are a number of resources and events upcoming to support your child's transition to high school.
On Tuesday 26 November, Chatswood Public School have organised the Wayahead Small Steps team to present on supporting the transition to high school. Please register for the event using the link in the poster below.
Starting school is a very exciting time for children. They’ll meet friends, learn new skills and build relationships with their teachers. Almost 90% of a child’s brain development happens before they turn five years old. Skills and behaviours learnt during the early years can help children to have a smooth start to kindergarten and throughout life.
This video series provides practical ideas to help parents, carers, Early Childhood Educators and teachers to support a positive start to school.
