Expressions of Interest - Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Verney Road School is introducing a High Intensity Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) program for students in 2025.

Sessions will run from 3pm - 6pm from the Verney Road site. Transport options will be available from our new Junior Campus on Parkside Drive.

Please note: this is an Expression of Interest only and not a guarantee of placement. Offers of places and enrolment processes will be provided before the end of the year.

Car Park Reminders

Each day, our small car park facilitates the entry and exit of more than 260 students. With only 10 visitor spaces available, please ensure your drop-off/pick-up is a quick ‘kiss and go’ to help ease congestion.

Wheelchair Access: We have a number of students who use wheelchairs and hence need access to these first two carparks to safely transition to and from school. Please allow priority of access to families where possible.
Speed Limit: A 5 km/h speed limit applies at all times.
Drop off and pick-up times: The car park is supervised in the mornings from 8.45 and from 2.30 pm in the afternoon. Drop off times are from 8.45am to 9.00am and 9.15 am
Please note that there is a pause on all traffic between 9.00 am and 9.15 am and between 2:55 pm and 3:10 pm to allow buses to load and exit safely.

Debutante Ball

On Tuesday, 17th September 2024, Verney Road School hosted its annual Debutante Ball at The Woolshed at Emerald Bank.

The event saw nine Senior Years' students take the stage, partnered with community members performing da to a packed venue.

The night was a great example of the strong bond between our school and the community, creating lasting memories for everyone who attended.

Camp Kookaburra

The end of Term 3 saw our Upper Middle Years' students attend Camp Kookaburra in Corop. Thanks to the staff and students who made this such a huge success.

Permission forms have been sent home with Year 10, 11 & 12 students for the upcoming Camp Kookaburra. Please read through these and return to school as soon as possible. Any questions, please contact Kayla (Unit Leader) or Dan (Assistant Principal).

Athletics Day

Coming up this term in Week 4 is the ‘Senior, Upper Middle & Lower Middle Years - Athletics Day’.

Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Venue: Shepparton Athletics Track
Participants: All students and staff from the SY, UMY & LMY units.

More information to come in the next few weeks, including Parent/Carer permission forms to be sent home.

School Fun Run Update

After months of fundraising, our school ended up raising a total of $4,498.00, which is the highest amount we have raised since 2018!

Congratulations to Lower Middle Years student Theo Hindle, who raised the most money across the school with a total of $650.

Prizes will be collected by students who raised money over the coming days - keep an eye out in your child's bag for these.
