Welcome to our final newsletter of the year! Although the end of the year is fast approaching, there's still so many exciting activities and events to look forward to including Swimming, Bike Ed, Year 5 and Year 6 Camps, Year 6 Graduation, Tabloid Sports, Incursions, Excursions and much more...
PREP TRANSITION
We are excited to commence our 2025 Prep Transition program next week. We can't wait to meet all of our new Prep students and begin their smooth transition into primary school. Our whole school transition day will be on Tuesday 10th December.
WELL DONE ROSIE AND ESTHER
Congratulations to Esther Jones (pictured above) for finishing in 3rd place at the State Championships in both the hurdles and high jump events. Esther will now compete in the National Championships in Sydney later this month. Congratulations also to Rosie Grant who competed in the Noosa Supakidz triathlon which entailed a 100m swim, 3km bike ride and 500m run. The lead up to this event required Rosie to do an intense training block before the event.
PARENTS AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION UPDATE
We are pleased to announce that the newly formed second hand uniform shop will be officially opening next Friday 15th Nov, and operate each assembly Friday from 3:00-3:30pm. The uniform shop is located in the shipping container near the school gym. Families wishing to donate uniform can drop it into the donation tub at the front office. Please note we only accept items that are of good quality and are part of the current school uniform.
Lost property is located in the hallway near the staffroom. The bins fill up quickly and labelled items are returned to students in their class so we highly encourage items to be labelled, especially jumpers.
Any unnamed items remaining in lost property for longer than a month are laundered and placed in the second hand uniform shop for resale.
The BHPS Parents and Friends Association will be meeting at 3:30pm next Thursday 14th November at the School. If anyone is interested in joining, please email parentfriendsbhps@gmail.com for registration details. All parents, grandparents, carers and community members are welcome.
WORKING BEE
A reminder that the Garden Club has organised a working bee for this Saturday at 2pm.
STUDENTS BUYING LOLLIES
We just wanted to make parents aware that a lot of students are purchasing lollies before school at APCO. We have spoken to a number of parents about this, and they were unaware that their children were doing this.
MATILDA PRODUCTION
On Monday 18th of November at 7:30pm, a group of committed Year 6 students will be performing Matilda (the musical). The group has been rehearsing throughout the year to put on a great show. All members of the school community are welcome to attend. The performance will be in the school gym. The entry fee is a gold coin donation. We hope to see you there.
