Learning From Term 4 Weeks 5 & 6.
Reading | To recognise the long /e/ phoneme is represented by the grapheme ‘--y’ at the end of two syllable words. To recognise the long /i/ phoneme is represented by the graphemes ‘igh’ and ‘-y’. |
Writing | To plan and write a narrative that contains a beginning (characters and setting), a middle (problem) and an end (solution). Students will also learn how to use speech bubbles. |
Maths | Week 5- To recognise half of an object. Week 6- Describe positions using ordinal words and ordinal numbers. |
Inquiry | Students will be designing and building their own toy using recycled materials. |
Social and Emotional | To persist when we find things challenging. |
