Prep Update

Learning From Term 4 Weeks 5 & 6.

Reading	To recognise the long /e/ phoneme is represented by the grapheme ‘--y’ at the end of two syllable words. To recognise the long /i/ phoneme is represented by the graphemes ‘igh’ and ‘-y’.
Writing	To plan and write a narrative that contains a beginning (characters and setting), a middle (problem) and an end (solution). Students will also learn how to use speech bubbles.
Maths	Week 5- To recognise half of an object. Week 6- Describe positions using ordinal words and ordinal numbers.
Inquiry	Students will be designing and building their own toy using recycled materials.
Social and Emotional	To persist when we find things challenging.
