Greetings Karoo-ians,

This term our Prep students have embarked on an exciting journey into the world of coding, starting with their new friends, the Sphero Indi bots! 

Over the past two weeks, they’ve been learning the basics of sequencing and patterning which are key building blocks for coding and computational thinking. It’s been thrilling to see their faces light up as they figure out how to use color-coded tiles to guide their Indi bots through different paths and obstacles!

While we’ve only scratched the surface, there’s so much more learning ahead. As we continue, students will deepen their understanding of how these patterns and sequences help make their bots move and react. 

With each lesson, they’re building confidence and skills that will serve them in future tech explorations and beyond. We can’t wait to see where this coding journey takes them!
