Production has now finished for another year.
Despite the official performances of ‘Head over Heels: High School Edition’ happening over two weeks from August 16th to 24th, the work preparing for the shows started late in Term 1. Every week the cast and ensemble worked hard to learn harmonies, choreography and lines, while our small but mighty band rehearsed to bring the catchy music of The Gogo’s to life.
In addition to the performers, multiple backstage student teams came together each week to create costumes, props and set items. Our tech team would also consistently attend lunchtime rehearsals to learn the art of lighting and sound.
It has been wonderful to see the students work together so positively as a team to realise this fun and joyous show. Many have gained confidence, made new friends and demonstrated great initiative.
We’d like to thank the school community for supporting this show; the parents who helped drop off and pick up students from rehearsals, the friends and family who encouraged others to see the show and the lovely audience that attended each show.
Although this year’s production season has ended, we hope that the positive memories endure.
We will be announcing next year’s show pick towards the end of Term 4.
What do you think it will be?
Until the next show!
