Principal's News
Dear Families,
Yesterday we celebrated the life of Sophie, a very special member of our school community, a person who has shown us all what it truly means to be a woman of great strength and courage. We know that her life touched many of us in many different ways and that she will be truly missed by her friends and family. I thank our school community for the love and support they have given and will continue to give to Luke, Austin and Claudia through the difficult days ahead. I ask that we continue to pray for Sophie and her family and always remember the life and energy she brought to all of us at Trinity Primary School. May she rest in peace.

Towards the end of Term 3
As we begin to approach the end of our third term at Trinity I can reflect on all that we have achieved together during this time. Of course our main priority has been the education of our children, academically, emotionally and spiritually but as well as the academic activities our children have also continued to develop their friendships and interests through our amazing clubs program, specialist programs and at each break where children are able to socialize with their peers. The learning programs provided by our teachers and Learning Support staff have ensured each child has been able to make progress in the different curriculum areas. Our teachers are already beginning to look forward to term four to ensure that our final term together is a fruitful one for all.

Schol Improvement Plan
Following our whole school review earlier this year we have now completed our draft School Improvement Plan which will set out our priorities and goals over the next four years based on the recommnedations provided by the reviewer. From the School Improvement Plan we will devise an Annual Action Plan each year with specific actions and targets to ensure we are able to achieve growth in a strategic manner. I have listed below the priorities and goals that we have included in our 2025-2029 School Improvement Plan.
Priority 1: Powerful Teaching
- To ensure that evidence based teaching strategies, aligned with cognitive science, are consistently embedded in practice in all curriculum areas
Priority 2: Learning Progressions
- To develop clear, schoolwide learning progressions for literacy and maths
Priority 3: Professional Growth Culture
- To embed a culture of professional growth where staff are continually supported in improving their practice
School Closure Day
A reminder again that on Friday 20th September there will be a student free day to enable staff to participate in a full day of faith formation and professional learning. Friday would normally be the last day of term and students would be finishing at 1:35pm, therefore our last day of term 3 will be Thursday 19th September but will be a full day finishing at the normal time of 3:15pm.
Children's Liturgy - Sunday at St James Church
Last Sunday we had a great turn out of children attending the 11am Sunday Mass at St James Church. A special thank you to Ms Marinelli who attended the mass and invited those children present to share in a very special exploration of the Gospel Story in a way that was able to engage them and promote discussion about its message. The children's liturgy will continue after the holidays and we will remind you all next term.
Year 5/6 Class Mass - St James Church
We extend an invitation to all our families and especially those from Year 5/6 to join us for mass this Sunday 15th September. The class mass will be part of the usual Sunday 11am Mass at St James Church. We are looking forward to seeing a really great turnout.
Rosary - St James Church
We will again join together to say the rosary on Friday at 8:15am in the Church which we will pray for Sophie. Even if you are not familiar with the words please feel welcome to join with us.

AUSKICK - Opportunity for Term 4
NAB AFL Auskick is a fantastic introductory program where kids can have a blast while staying active. At Trinity PS, kids will enjoy 5 weekly sessions, led by highly experienced AFL Victoria coaches. Exploring AFL, developing football skills, and playing in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. No previous Aussie Rules experience is required - children can start Auskick in the year they turn 5 and continue until they’re 12.
To ensure everyone has a great experience, we divide the kids by age and offer optional all-girls groups. Sessions are just one hour per week, and kids can wear whatever they’re comfortable in - no need for expensive gear. It’s all about helping kids get comfortable on the footy field while having fun and learning! Classroom Cuisine - Online Lunch Orders
We have decided to reintroduce Classroom Cuisine as an online lunch order option. We have used this service in the past and believe it might suit some families as it will enable you to order online in advance. Initially the service will only be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with the possibility of offering further days if the demand is there. Lunch orders will be delivered to the school.
We will continue to offer the traditional lunch orders in a brown paper bag from Modena Cafe daily.
