In Year 9 Food Technology, students have been immersed in the world of product development. This term, they’ve been exploring how food companies create new products based on existing lines and experimenting with creating unique variations of their own. From brainstorming ideas to testing and refining recipes, they’ve learned valuable skills in food production and innovation. The results? A delicious variety of cookies and cream-inspired popcorn treats that showcase our students' creativity and their ability to think like food technologists!

Year 8 has excelled in their Term 4 Assessment Task, where they took on the challenge of creating “Wheaty Banana Muffins.” With careful attention to texture, taste, and nutritional value, our students produced healthy and delicious muffins, demonstrating their growing understanding of food technology and production techniques. This task has given them hands-on experience in adapting traditional recipes to be more nutritious and sustainable.

Meanwhile, our Year 10 Food Technology students have been mastering the art of coffee-making with Mrs Bryson, learning everything from operating the coffee machine to creating beautiful latte art! This practical skill not only introduces them to the world of café culture but also opens up potential career pathways in hospitality. Students have shown real flair and determination, impressing us with their artistic touch and their attention to detail.

The TAS department is incredibly proud of our students’ achievements this term. We’re excited to see them continue to develop their skills and passion as we wrap up an engaging and productive year.
