Principal's Report

As we reach the end of Term 3, I’d like to start with gratitude.

Gratitude (gra-ti-tude) noun. – the positive state of being grateful; an overwhelming feeling of appreciation and thankfulness, and the desire to return kindness to others.

Firstly, to our teachers, thank you for your dedication, creativity, and the hard work you put into every day. You constantly find ways to engage and inspire our students, and your efforts never go unnoticed. To our ES staff, thank you for the care and support you provide to our students, always ensuring their individual needs are met with kindness and patience. To the office staff, thank you for keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and for being the friendly faces that greet families and visitors to our school.

A special thank you to our leadership team for your guidance and vision, ensuring that we continue moving forward as a community, always striving for excellence. And, of course, to our parents and families for your trust, collaboration, and support. Your involvement is what strengthens our school community. Lastly, to our incredible students, you give us the "why." Your joy, growth, and resilience are at the heart of everything we do. You inspire us every day to do our best for you.

Tough Mudder Fun!

This week’s Tough Mudder obstacle course was a real highlight. The students absolutely loved it and seeing their smiles and sense of accomplishment was a reminder of how important these events are for their confidence and well-being. It was such a fun day for everyone involved!

Dad’s night

We also had a very successful Dads Night last week, with some incredible feedback. It was heartwarming to see how much this event meant to so many of our dads. Hearing their stories and perspectives reaffirmed how important it is to have these opportunities for connection and support.

Morning tea with the Principal and Assistant Principal

The morning tea this week with myself and Sandra also saw a record number of parent attendees, which was fantastic! We truly value hearing your feedback and ideas. From this, we’ve decided to reintroduce the “Getting to Know Our Staff” segment in next term’s newsletters. Watch this space – it’s going to be a great way to stay connected with the amazing people who make up our school.

Swimming Pool Update

In other exciting news, we’ve made progress on the swimming pool heating issue! The ball is now rolling, and we’re expecting the pool to be back open by Week 3 or 4 of next term. I will keep you posted as we get closer to that date.

Finally, as we head into the holidays, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recover, and look after one another. Term 4 is always full of fun and excitement, and we’re looking forward to finishing the year with a bang!

Have a wonderful break and see you all in Term 4.

Be kind to one another.
