Salvos Christmas Appeal

The ongoing impact of the rising cost of living means that many families in our community continue to struggle meeting even their most basic day-to-day needs. The Green Team has partnered with the Waverley Salvation Army to bring hope and joy through the annual Salvos Christmas Appeal

The Green Team and Salvos will be grateful to our community for their generous donations to the appeal over the next two weeks (27 November to 8 December). Here is the list of items accepted:

Old Textbooks Recycling

Students may drop off their unwanted textbooks such as used VCE or science textbooks (preferably those relevant to the study designs of 2024) at the labelled red pigeonholes in the library foyer during 27 November to 7 December

The labels will be correspondent to the subject of the textbooks you drop off. Students can take these textbooks for FREE or exchange these textbook donations. Textbooks not taken by the 7th of December will be sent to recycling by the Green Team.

Bike Safety Check Program

The Green Team, in partnership with the Monash City Council, organised a Bike Safety Check Program at Brentwood on 11th November. Nearly 30 bikes were serviced/repaired during the three hours. The Green Team is happy that there are 30 more safe riders on the roads now. This initiative has helped Green Team achieve SDG 3: Good health and wellbeing and SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals.

Thank you to City of Monash, and Brain Waves bikes, for running the program at Brentwood.
