Riboflavin Buffer - Polytrotic
Biological life cannot withstand changes in hydrogen ion concentrations which we measure as the pH. All biochemical reactions occur under strict conditions of the concentration of hydrogen ions. Buffers are those solutions that have the ability to resist changes in pH. The Junior College 2 (Pre-University 2) students led by Amanda Phoebe use multiple methods to calculate and prepare buffered solutions with a desired pH. Upon preparation of the solutions, they will explore differing aspects of buffers including buffering capacity and predominant form.
Pyridoxine Hydrochloric Buffer
The second buffer that they have prepared is the Pyridoxine which they will use to check whether it will resist changes in the pH around a given value. With a buffer, adding in quantities of acid or base to the solution, does not dramatically alter the solution pH like it would without the buffer present. They will also compare the buffering capacity between two buffered solutions. They also utilize the fundamental laboratory techniques for analysis and gain experimental skills.
More importantly to learn safety rules in the practice of laboratory investigations.

Many educators were out of their comfort zones during pandemics as teaching and learning landscape shifters became online learning. Teachers and students experimented with new technology tools and learning platforms on hybrid schedules.
The pandemic is over now, but that doesn’t stop us from using online learning platforms, such as Nearpod. Nearpod is a dynamic platform that has transformed how we absorb economic concepts.
With interactive lessons, students are no longer confined to static textbooks, instead, they navigate through virtual lessons that include multimedia elements, quizzes, and collaborative activities. This not only caters to diverse learning styles but also keeps the class dynamic and engaging.
The integration of Nearpod in our Economics class has been transformative. It has redefined the learning experience, making it more interactive, engaging, and tailored to the needs of our students. Tools like Nearpod stand as beacons, guiding us toward a future where technology and education work hand in hand to empower the next generation of economists and critical thinkers.

Week 7 was an intensive period for the Junior College 2 students as they dedicated themselves to thorough preparation for the chapter tests. The upcoming SA1 further heightened their academic commitments.
Nonetheless, these diligent learners were fully conscious of their responsibilities. Despite demanding schedules and pressing deadlines, they maintained a resolute attitude, avoiding complaints while persistently striving for excellence.
