ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8.30am for a Traditional Service and 10.00am for a more Contemporary service with Godly Play on offer for Primary School aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services. For the first Sunday of the month, there is one combined service, with a blended style of worship.

CHRISTMAS WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

All are warmly invited to join St Paul Lutheran Church as we celebrate with our Christmas worship services.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on each Tuesday during Term time in the Hall.  We welcome people anytime from 8.30 onwards to help set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9-10.30 each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.  We offer a simple craft, a sensory activity and read a book related to a different theme each week.

This week we started to get our Christmas by making snowmen amongst the snow covered trees in the sensory play space, hand print angels and reindeers at the craft table and enjoyed re-telling the Christmas story with the nativity play set.

Next week is our last Playgroup for 2023, so come wearing a bit of Christmas and join in some Christmas crafts and activities.

For more information about anything playgroup related contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are some small ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week the Bible readings talk about the good news of Jesus and the comfort that his love and forgiveness provide.  We can share God’s message of love with others by doing deeds of kindness.  As a family activity, you could make a ‘road’ using cardboard or other materials. Write the words from the book of Mark 1:3 on the road.  “Prepare the way for the Lord,    make straight paths for him.”’ (Mark 1:3)

As your household journeys through the second week of Advent, use sticky notes to record any acts of service you perform. Attach them to your road. Pray that your acts of service may help others to see and know Jesus.

Mealtime Prayer:

God our Saviour, thank you for this food and all who prepared it. Help us to prepare the way for you. Amen.

Prayer:

Lord God, make us ready to be your messengers of comfort, love, and forgiveness through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Bless:

(Child’s name) May the God of love and comfort fill you with the good news of Jesus Christ and give you peace.  Amen.
